Begin by scheduling an initial consultation in store or online with a YJB designer. Our trained designers read minds. During this step we will talk openly, share ideas and we will try to pick your brain for your preferences to determine what design(s) you are seeking.
YJB uses the newest and most up to date computer aided designing software to construct the frame or structure of your jewelry. We can add stone details and create virtually anything you have described to our designer. This item is designed in our computer to exacting detail because it is through the design in the computer that we proceed with all future steps. We can and will happily sit with you to modify any segments you would like changed.
After you have seen and approved some basic custom structures, we will create a rendering. A rendering is a life-like, and we really do mean life-like, 3D image of how the final piece will appear.
After the rendering is approved,we will utilize our state of the art REVO Milling machine to create an exact to scale model in wax of the piece we have designed. This model will be presented to you along with the stones that have been selected to be incorporated into the jewelry if stones are a segment of the design.
This is probably one of the most critical steps. This is where we use either old fashioned centrifugal casting techniques, or state of the art vacuum casting machinery to actually fill a void in cement that has been made identical to your custom wax that we designed. This thus creates the precious metal structure of your jewelry.
During this step, one of our jewelers will set any stones required for the design. Our jewelers have many years of experience with our lead jeweler having over 35 years of creating beautiful designs. Whether we are mounting you family's heirloom stone or one of our stones, you can rest assured this step will receive the care and attention it deserves.
During this step our designer and jeweler will meet to take a final look at the piece and make sure that all details have been attended to and that it meets our quality control standards. All final polishing will happen at this point and any additional milligraine detail will be added or enhanced.
This is the moment everyone waits for! Usually this will be between one and three weeks after the initial consultation. We will present you the final completed piece and you can rest assured that you will be thrilled with every aspect!
